Security Blanket is a digital photograph of a small, table-top installation with varied lighting effects. The combination of lights is intended to induce a sensation of paranoia, as though a search light of some kind is scanning the tarmac. The wonderful irony of this piece is that the search light pattern was made by shining a light through a hand crocheted blanket of sentimental value. The title therefore refers to both the depiction of a security situation as well as the comfortable blanket through which the light was projected. | ||||||
